RisingSun Energy began with a simple idea shared among local electricians who grew up right here in the Vancouver and Richmond communities: clean energy should be affordable, accessible, and done properly. As tradespeople working in local homes every day, we saw firsthand how many homeowners wanted to upgrade their homes with solar or energy-efficient systems but felt discouraged by high prices or really confusing sales options. We knew there had to be a better way — one built on honesty, craftsmanship, and real community values.
Our team came together through long-standing friendships and shared experience in the electrical industry. Two brothers on our team have spent their careers mastering their trade — One is an electrical designer with over 20 years of industry experience who began his career as an electrician and later worked as a foreman, and the other a highly skilled journeyman with over 15 years in the field. What stood out most wasn’t just their technical ability, but their work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to doing every job right. That same standard became the foundation of RisingSun Energy.
The idea to focus on renewable energy grew stronger after we traveled abroad and saw how widely solar power was already being used in places like Japan, USA and Australia. With technology advancing quickly and electricity demand rising every year, it became clear that clean energy isn’t just a trend — it’s the future. We wanted to be part of that future here in British Columbia, helping contribute to a cleaner province while protecting the natural environment we all love and want to preserve for the next generation.
